Zomtober: Week 2

Zomtober zombie count:11

So deadline day again, that came round quickly, and here are this week's submissions.

First up is a zombie mime, every horde needs a mime, What? They don't? Ok, lets move quickly onto the big zombie. Every horde needs a massive, hard to kill zombie, that you can imagine taking shotgun shell after shotgun shell and still coming. On a differnt note, this figure reminded me a lot of a guy I used to work with.

Last up, are another of my plastic zombies, a figure whose face I am really unimpressed with the sculpting on, and some zombie dogs that I picked up a couple of weeks ago from the Essex Warrior's show. I was kind of hoping to be the first to get something like this up, this zomtober but Roy's attempt was first, and I have to say, a lot better than these. Zombie dogs should fill out the necessary fast zombie slot of the horde, they don't have to be strong, just too fast to deal with.

Thanks for reading

  1. I love the mime: that's a cracking figure and you've really done it justice with the paint job. You should go for an entire undead circus troupe....

    1. Thanks Herbert. Zombie clowns are always a tempting prospect. Maybe next year's zomtober. . .

    2. Remember, if attacked by Zombie clowns got straight for the juggler!

    3. How do I go about banning people from being able to comment? . .

    4. Seriously? If so, I believe that you can adjust who can post comments and replies by using the "setting" section in the blogger control panel and choosing "only blog members" in the posts and comments bit. I know you can set the comments to "no one allowed", "blog members" and "public", but I can't remember what other settings there is as my comments setting is ruled by my blog using google+ as the means to leave comment (and which means anyone, and I have no say in the matter, can leave comments on my posts).
      Hope this helped?

    5. Ha ha, thanks Roy, but I was playing. I need a bad pun filter rather than a full ban! Although there is a risk Edwin is on his first strike! I have had nothing but nice comments on this blog so far.

  2. You're certainly filling out the various prerequisites for the horde, nicely. But I can't imagine why you dislike the WGF zombie sculpt. When I painted my own this week, I felt it looked just like a stupidly grinning orc :)
Sorry to of beaten you to the dead dog theme.

    1. Thanks Roy. Next job is to do some serious numbers for my horde really, got a bit distracted by the shiny metal models, instead of the plastic sprues.
I loved the dogs you did. I'm glad to have been beaten by such a great idea.

    1. Thanks Michael. He's from hassle free miniatures, he comes with a zombie in a hoodie that is sitting on my painting desk as I type.

  5. That big guy is an appropriately repulsive centerpiece for any horde. Really good work.

    1. Thanks Kieron. I was going to try for a pic of everything I manage to get painted for zomtober (my horde) and I have no doubt he will stand out in a big way. I was so chuffed when he turned up in the post.
