Zomtober 2016 - Week 2

Zomtober zombie count: 3*

Carrying on with my plan of not actually having a plan I started painting a few different models and these 4 are the ones I chose to finish, as they share a theme together. They are all from the same ebay seller and, while being really flat sculpts (every one has been bent into a more interesting pose) the sculpting is fantastic.
     *Skeletons not counted

Left to right we have: A Ratman skeleton, 2 goblin zombies and a goblin skeleton, all of which will be added to my fantasy undead army in the hopes it will reach Dragon Rampant size in the future.

Thanks for reading

  1. Love the different types! Always struck me a strange that typically only human based zedheads were available until recently.

    1. Yeah. That was always my issue too. Only ranges I know are this one, the old GW cursed company and otherworld but the one thing all 3 ranges have in common is they only sell 1 of each race. I would love a whole goblin zombie unit or skeleton unit.

  2. Awesome work Mike :) I real like in Fantasy settings that they have a mixture of zombie races. Rather than just the normal human types. The Mordhiem zombies were lovely models with there elf and dwarf zombies. Bit pricey to get hold of now though :(

    1. Thanks Michael. I aim to keep people on their toes - got a plan for the end of the month that you won't see coming.

  4. Very nice, always good to see some non human skellies!

Nice models too, you don't know who the manufacturer was do you?

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Thanks Roger. Sadly I only know what the ebay seller calls them. Maybe contact him?

  5. It's always good to see an 'ethnically diverse' set of fantasy zombies. I like to think that I'd be an equal opportunities necromancer.

    Keep up the good work.

    1. Thanks Kieron. I'm keeping my eyes open for skeleton animals - if a necromancer casts a general undead spell i would assume anything in the immediate area would rise, dead rats, bird etc. Other than the skeleton rat on the mantic frame I haven't seen anything else.

  6. Being old I have some of these early non human skeletons http://www.solegends.com/citf/citfts/index.htm Although it must be said against the current giants most of them are rather small anyway.
